World Clean-up Drive

19th – 20th December 2019: The Airport Security Team (ASU) participated in the ‘Wadi Clean-up Drive’ to round up the garbage and waste left behind by visitors. The aim of the drive – a yearly event - is to encourage people visiting public places to clean-up after themselves and protect the environment.

World Diabetes Day

19th November 2019: The FAU team participated in the ‘World Diabetes Day Program’ aimed to drive awareness about the prevention, education, management, and care of diabetes. Employees underwent tests to check their sugar levels and were given a thorough presentation on the precautionary measures for diabetes.

Anti-Flu Campaign

13th – 14th November 2019: At the start of Winter, Emirates Group Security launched its Anti-Flu Campaign for the well-being, health, and safety of all its staff. The campaign was held over two days and 200 employees were vaccinated from EGS, Transguard as well as visitors and tenants at the headquarters.

Prostate Cancer Awareness

10th November 2019: EGS in collaboration with Dr. Omer Al Derwish, Consultant Urologist from Dr. Sulaiman Al Habib Hospital conducted multiple sessions at the headquarters to raise awareness about prostate cancer.

EGS Wellness Program – Eye Testing

30th – 31th October 2019: The EGS team arranged for an eye testing clinic to be set up at the headquarters for all the employees of the Group, visitors, and tenants to aid and combat eye strain. 430 people were tested throughout the two days.

The symposium was officially opened earlier today by HH Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman and Chief Executive Emirates Airline & Group.

DUBAI, U.A.E., 4 September 2019: The roadshow was held at Shk. Butti Building situated at Emirates Road with a total number of 598 occupants. The roadshow started at 0930hrs and ended at 1300hrs. There were 68 occupants who had attended the roadshow. All occupant`s queries and recommendations were noted, to be followed up and actioned.

DUBAI, U.A.E., 2 August 2019: The Emirates Group Martial Arts & Fitness Club recently welcomed back two of its members from the World Peace Taekwondo Festival in South Korea which took place at Shinhan University in Uijeongbu, on August 2nd. Club Chairman and Training Specialist with Emirates Group Security Reza Nobahari and Cabin Supervisor and Security Trainer Natalie Daher performed remarkably in this competition, each winning gold medals in their respective categories

6th DSVP Basketball Tournament 2019 Final & Awarding Ceremony

DUBAI, U.A.E., 2 May 2019: The 6th DSVP Group Security Basketball Tournament hits another milestone success which was officially opened on 28h Feb 2019 at Emirates Group Security basketball court in DAFZA. Team Emirates Flying Pirates captured the much coveted championship crown after trouncing Emirates Procurement & Logistic with a dominating 19 point edge, 62-43, in their championship game last 02 May 2019 at Emirates Aviation College Basketball Court.

Thanks a Million Fundraising Event 2019 Awarding Ceremony

DUBAI, U.A.E., 2 May 2019: Emirates Skywards Thanks a Million’ campaign brought around 75 volunteers from across the Emirates group, to raise money by selling tickets that only cost AED 20. The owner of ticket/s will automatically enter a draw and have chance to win one million Skywards Miles. On its 19th year a new record sale which amounted of Dhs 400,000, will be donated to the Emirates Airline Foundation, a non-profit organization focused on helping disadvantaged children reach their potential by providing them access to shelter, food, healthcare, and education.

World Malaria Day

DUBAI, U.A.E., 29 April 2019: Mosquitoes are a group of about 3500 species of small insects that are a type of fly. Within that order they constitute the family Culicidae. Malaria is a life-threatening disease caused by parasites that are transmitted to people through the bites of infected female Anopheles mosquitoes. It is preventable and curable. Early diagnosis and treatment of malaria reduces disease and prevents deaths. It also contributes to reducing malaria transmission. April is considered to be the International World Malaria Month and World Health Organization celebrates World Malaria Day each year on the 25th April.

Wellness & Health Fair

DUBAI, U.A.E., 22, 24, 29 April & 1 May 2019: Emirates Group Security (EGS) together with Employee Assistance Program (EAP) team, facilitated a 3-hour, 4-day Wellbeing Workshop/Training, which was directed to promoting healthy living and lifestyle to all EGS and Transguard Group LLC (TG) employees. On the first day, EGS and TG staff were given a presentation on Mental Fitness and Nutritional and thereafter, for the rest of the days, they were engaged to activities which included colouring, painting and planting of seeds. Staff who engaged in colouring and painting were subjected to creativity which was considered as a way of reducing stress and anxiety. Colouring and painting engage the thoughts to focus on a simple activity which tend to relax the brain.
