Emirates Group Security

DUBAI, U.A.E., 29 March 2019: Emirates Group Security held its annual Family Fun Day at the Emirates Aviation College, Football Grounds from 15:00hrs to 21:00hrs. The day was designed to give all employees and their families a fun opportunity to get active and interact with other families. Dr. Abdulla Al Hashimi, Divisional Senior Vice President who also attended the event said, "I am delighted to see almost all EGS staff and their family members, everyone seems to be having a really good time. I would like to say a great big thank you to all the family members and sponsors who came down to support us and help to make today a fully-filled Family Fun Day."

EGS employees were required to first register themselves as well as their family members at the Registration booth, and then collect a raffle draw, games and food coupons. All guests would then proceed to the various booths that had been set up according to departmental Units –the booths included, game booths, food booths and others were both games and food booth combined. Mr. Zack Zainal, Senior Vice President, set up a booth in which he did live cooking of Prawns Noodle Soup. The event was also graced by various beverages Sponsors, namely:-

1. Marmum who provided free refreshing fruit juices, Lassi and flavoured milk.
2. Café MOKA who provide free coffee.

Events on the day included sports such as football and tele match games, dancing/music contests and raffle draws. One of the highlights was the tug-of-war which brought out the competitive spirit of all those involved. Prizes and trophies were given to the winners of the various competitions as follows:-

1. Football Champions – CAPU 1
2. Football Runners-up – CAPU 2
3. Tug-of-war Champions (ladies) – EK - Transguard
4. Tug-of-war Champions (men) – CAPU
5. Best Decorated Booth – EKFC
6. Best Booth with highest coupons collected/sales – EKFC
7. 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd best Dancer(s)
8. 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd best Singer(s)

Children below the age of 10 years were invited to the Burger King Booth set up, where they enjoyed kids’ games, face painting, entertainers as well as bouncy castle. Burger King also gave kids’ combo meal to the children.

At dinner, everyone enjoyed a sumptuous BBQ and kick back to the sounds of a live Dj. Staff won various prizes drawn from the raffle draws. Prizes ranged from kitchen appliances, designer watches, a bicycle, a TV among others. The event ended at 21:00hrs.
