Juan Carlos Salazar is the CEO of the Civil Aviation Organisation in Colombia and the newly appointed Secretary General of ICAO. He has over 27 years of unique experience in international aviation negotiations, management, and public policies. Mr Salazar served as Director General of Aeronautica Civil of Colombia – Aerocivil (2018-2021), and as Air Transport Advisor of the UAE General Civil Aviation Authority (2006 – 2018). With his international negotiation experience, he has further built and maintained excellent relations with a network of civil aviation organisations and authorities worldwide.

Before his election to Parliament, Robert Courts was a self-employed barrister for some twelve years. His practice focused primarily on personal injury and clinical negligence. He also served on the International Trade Select Committee, having previously been a member of the Transport, Justice and Backbench Business Committees as well as the Air League Council. In September 2020, he was appointed Parliamentary Undersecretary of State in the Department for Transport, responsible for aviation, maritime and security.

Cherubin Okende Senga is a politician from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. He is president of the political party Front Social des Independants Républicains (FSRI) created on March 3, 2017 in Kinshasa. He is an elected national deputy for the constituency of Lukanga in Kinshasa. He was a technical administrator of Lignes Aériennes Congolaise In April 2021, Cherubin Okende Senga, was appointed Minister of Transport and Communication.

Anita Hazenberg assumed her current duties as the first Director of the Innovation Centre Directorate, INTERPOL Global Complex for Innovation in Singapore in 2017. In the past 39 years of her career in the Netherlands Police, she focussed her efforts on in violence against women and children and international police cooperation. In the international scene, she has taken up several roles, including as the Director of the European Network of Policewomen (ENP) and the first Programme Director 'Police and Human Rights' for the Council of Europe (France).

Mohammad is from the second generation of Emirati Aviation Security professionals with almost 11 years of experience in Aviation Security in the GCAA, UAE. In his current role, Mohammad focuses on the further development of GCAA and national aviation security strategic objectives, policy, regulations and programmes, utilising his field experience as well as his expertise on the UAE Federal government and international aviation security requirements.

Matthew Vaughan is the Director of Aviation Security at IATA. Previously, he worked for Etihad Airways for over 8 years, 5 of them as the Head of Aviation Security. In IATA he is focusing on the promotion of baseline compliance to Aviation Security standards and recommended practices as well as leveraging an all-hazards, risk-based approach through strategic threat analysis and business continuity planning in a high threat, high reliability industry.

Ivonne Higuero is an environmental economist with a career spanning 26 years in international organizations in the area of sustainable development. The Secretary General has experience working at the global, regional and national levels, and engaging with stakeholders across the public and private sectors. During her 24 years with the United Nations, Ivonne has held varied roles managing and overseeing the implementation of programmes of work related to environmental economics, biodiversity and trade, biodiversity and ecosystem services, forests, housing, and trade facilitation.

Jason currently serves at US Embassy Nairobi, Kenya as TSA’s Regional Director for Africa and the Middle East. His region consists of 78 countries with 23 Last Point of Departure (LPD) Airports. Jason also serves as the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) attaché for Kenya. He has over 35 years’ experience as a security professional and is a member of the Senior Executive Service (SES). Jason joined TSA in 2011, bringing with him over 26 years of military experience focusing on security, counterterrorism, and international partnerships.

Thorsten Neumann is the President and CEO of the Transported Asset Protection Association (TAPA) in the EMEA region. He has held this role since 2019 and oversees the day-to-day operations of the association. Under Thorsten’s leadership, TAPA creates a positive change in the supply chain risk management and security practices of the freight transportation and insurance communities, playing a crucial role in developing partnerships to address the emerging security threats subjected to high-value industry supply chains.

Philip started working within the aviation industry in the 1980s, when he joined Trans World Airlines’ security subsidiary at London Heathrow. From Duty Manager at Heathrow, he moved to TWA’s International HQ where he ultimately became Manager Security Training and Auditing. He established Green Light in 1996, through which Philip serves as a subject matter expert for the Airports Council International (ACI) in the area of Behavioural Analysis. Philip also designs and delivers the International Air Transport Association’s (IATA) Inflight Security courses.

As chief security officer of Huawei UAE, Aloysius is responsible for driving the company’s cybersecurity vision of building a safe and secure intelligent connected digital world in the region. He is currently a board director for US-based (ISC)2, as well as UK-based cyber leadership think tank the Centre for Strategic Cyberspace + International Studies (CSCIS). In his career spanning 20 years, Aloysius has delivered direct business values in strategic technology and cyber programmes for Global 500 organisations worldwide.

Cécile has been in her current role since 2017 and has had extensive experience with UNODC, both at HQ and in the field, including in the Independent Evaluation Unit, the Terrorism Prevention Branch and the Corruption and Economic Crime Branch. Before joining the UNODC, she also worked at the UN Economic and Social Commission for Asia and the Pacific (ESCAP), in Bangkok, Thailand. Before joining the UN, she worked for Amnesty International, the International Organisation for Migration and in the private sector.

Roni Tidhar serves as the Israel Airports Authority’s Head of Int'l Consulting Services. He carries vast experience in civil aviation security and emergency management from his over 30 years in Israel's Ben-Gurion International Airport Security Division (in multiple positions) and many years' parallel to that as El-Al Israeli Airline's Air-Marshal and Operational Flights Security Manager, working in dozens of airports across the globe. Roni contributes articles on various professional publications and is a keynote speaker in worldwide conferences and webinars.

Hany is an aviation professional who brings over 20 years of experience in the aviation industry, progressively holding executive leadership positions in various airlines, ICAO, and MedAire, an international SOS company. Hany led and navigated various aviation businesses in over 120 countries through some of the most dynamic environments in the world. He has previously held executive positions in airline operations, safety, quality, security, risk management and at the UN specialised agency ICAO.

Rajshekhar has over 20 years of experience in information security. He has previously worked with Microsoft Corporation and Etisalat Telecom and has strong exposure to cyber offensive and defensive intelligence. Rajshekhar is the founder of Cyberange, creating the next generation simulation platforms and virtual labs in emerging technologies. He has also created the National Security Database (NSD) programme to identify credible cyber security professionals with verified skills, who can work on sensitive projects for protection of Indian cyber space.

Steve van Aperen is Australia’s foremost lie detection and behavioural interviewing expert. Steve, whilst a Victorian police officer with 14 years policing experience, also examined polygraph and behavioural interviewing techniques used by the FBI, US Secret Service and LAPD. Throughout the years Steve has been consulted by intelligence agencies, the media, police departments, Homicide Squads, Government departments and corporations to teach staff how detect deception, read body language and profiling techniques using his unique 60 second profiling technique during the screening process.

Gary Wade is responsible for Global Security at Atlas Air Worldwide. Prior to coming to Atlas, Mr. Wade served as the Special Agent in Charge of the Federal Air Marshal Service at Atlanta's Hartsfield International Airport. Previously, he was a Special Agent for the Drug Enforcement Administration for over 30 years, assigned to offices in Detroit, Miami, Washington, D.C. and Quantico, VA.

Dr David Rubens DSyRM, CSyP, F.ISRM, FSyI is CEO of Deltar Training Services Ltd, and Executive Director of the Institute of Strategic Risk Management. He currently runs training programmes for strategic risk and crisis managers around the world, delivering training in seventeen countries in SE Asia, Middle East, Africa, Latin America and Europe since January 2017.

With 13+ years of training experience and nearly two decades in the security services sector, Bryce Jacobs-Shannon is a passionate expert in the training and development of explosive detection canine services. As the K-9 Program Manager at Transguard Group, Bryce is responsible for training not only staff and animals, but also for developing and monitoring the training programs and their progress. Bryce previously worked throughout Iraq and Afghanistan in support of the U.S. military and government operations as a Canine Handler and Canine Trainer.

Capt. Cyrano is an Airline Captain with AirAsia, commanding the Airbus A320, and is an Adjunct Lecturer with Singapore tertiary institutions. Aside from being a regular guest speaker at the Singapore Aviation Academy, he instructs both tertiary and certificate level aviation programs specializing in safety, crisis and consequence management. He is type-rated on both Boeing and Airbus commercial jets.
Cyrano has over 20 years of consultancy and operational experience in the aviation industry, including positions with Lufthansa, Hong Kong Airlines and Singapore Airlines. He is advisor to University Tun Hussein Onn, Malaysia (UTHM) and the Family Assistance Education & Research Institute (FAERI) in the US. He is also on the Medical Board of Doc2Us, a regional healthcare provider in Asia.

Dr. Ricklefs has a PhD in ancient Near Eastern history and was educated at the Oriental Institute at Oxford University, Macquarie University, and Monash University. He conducted archaeological fieldwork in Jordan, Egypt, Syria and Lebanon and taught History and Philosophy at university level. Dr Ricklefs served in a number of government roles in the Middle East: senior advisor to the commanding-general of Coalition forces in Iraq; senior political advisor to the Australian military commander Iraq and Afghanistan; senior advisor to the Secretary General Iraqi Defence Ministry; senior advisor to the Iraqi Minister of Interior; and senior advisor for national security to the Libyan Prime Minister. Dr Ricklefs is a World Economic Forum Global Thought Leader, a member of Chatham House and an honorary associate at Macquarie University. He is a member of the Capital Club, Dubai, and the Travellers Club in London.

Bruce Dorris is the president and chief executive officer for the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE). He also serves as an advisory member to the ACFE Board of Regents. Dorris has conducted anti-fraud training for the United Nations, the World Food Programme, the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission, Bank Muscat, Citigroup, the Big Four global accounting and advisory firms, as well as with the Justice Department, the FBI, and other federal and state law enforcement agencies in the United States.

James L. Regens is the professor and the founding director of the Center for Intelligence and National Security at the University of Oklahoma. Professor Regens is a member of the Council on Foreign Relations, International Institute for Strategic Studies and United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation, among others. He previously served in policy and analytical positions in the US Government, has over 200 publications including articles in journals such as Intelligence and National Security and he holds multiple US patents.

Slavtcho Groshev is technical Head of Project Management at the Center for Adaptive Security Research and Applications (CASRA) in Zurich, Switzerland. Key roles have included working with stakeholders to continuously enhance aviation security officer competency assessment. He currently manages multiple projects in performance assessment and human-machine interaction in security screening contexts with an emphasis on risk, quality and technical oversight as well as strategic alignment and project portfolio management support.

Irra Ariella Khi is the CEO of Zamna, an award-winning venture backed software company working with airlines and governments to validate passenger passports and health status via GDPR-compliant patented software. Prior to founding Zamna, Irra cofounded three other companies across multiple verticals. She has received many awards for her work with Zamna including as UK BAA ‘Best investment in disruptive tech’ +’ Best investment in Female Founder’, and Pitch@Palace Winner on 'Big data, intelligence and the future of security.'

Eng. Hussain Qabbani joined ICAO in April 2021 as the Regional Aviation Security Officer at the ICAO Middle East office. Before joining ICAO, Eng. Qabbani worked as the Manager of International Coordination Department in Aviation Security Sector at the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation (GACA) with key focus on international relations, capacity building and cooperation in the field of aviation security and facilitation.

Mike Woodall brings over 20 years of aviation security audit, design, inspection, policy and regulation, stakeholder management and threat and risk assessment experience. Prior to IATA, has previously been Head of Aviation Security Policy (airports and airlines), Head of Aviation Security Regulation (cargo and special projects), Head of Threats, Intelligence and Contingencies and Senior Compliance Inspector for all BAA airports (including Heathrow) within the UK Department for Transport.

Karthik is the founder and Chief Operations Officer at Tactical Cyberange Simulations, a niche cybersecurity services company offering services to corporate and government organisations. He has over 10 years of experience in Penetration Testing, Programming, Malware Engineering, Exploit Writing, and IoT/SCADA Security Testing. Karthik has also worked closely with the Armed and Air forces training on Cybersecurity, Threat Analysis and Offensive security.

Matthew Borie has 15 years of aviation security and intelligence experience in the public and private sectors. Matthew is currently the Chief Intelligence Officer at Osprey Flight Solutions. As Chief Intelligence Officer, Matthew provides strategic direction for Osprey's data collection and analytical output, as well as expert analysis on a wide range of aviation-related issues, with a focus on conflict zone activity.

Simon has over 22 years of Industry Experience in business and IT. He is a full SDLC expert in Cyber Security and Cyber Crime Investigations, IAM/RFID, insider fraud, biometrics, ISO 27001 LA, and expert witness duties. He is a certified fraud examiner (CFE) and an EC-Council certified hacking forensic investigator (CHFI), certified ethical hacker (CEH) and certified chief information security officer (CCISO).

Mzwandile Petros has a wealth of knowledge and experience in forensic and criminal investigations. He served as provincial commissioner under the South African Police Service, and devising and implementing the People-Orientated Sustainable Strategy (POSS) for the Western Cape and Gauteng Co-Created Policing Strategy (G-COPS). He has spent the last seven years as an executive partner conducting forensic investigations and security consulting in the fields of security threat, risk, and vulnerability assessments.

As assistant secretary of Policy and Standard in the Cyber and Critical Infrastructure Centre, Matthew is responsible for aviation security policy, including the aviation security regulatory framework, screening and examination policy for passengers, baggage and air cargo, and ensuring Australia meets international aviation security requirements. Matthew has extensive experience in the transport security sector, with almost 15 years’ experience in transport security regulatory policy.
